TRUMP’S DUAL ROLE IN THE END-TIMES (IMHO)
Having studied biblical history and prophecy for most of my adult life, two significant truths stand out. First, the major events of history are no accident, especially regarding Israel and the nations that interact with her. Second, ancient history regarding Israel repeats.
1. The Babylonian destruction of Jerusalem and subsequent exile was repeated in the Roman destruction of Jerusalem and subsequent exile.
2. Antiochus Epiphanes’ defiling the Temple in 165 BC which Daniel called the “abomination of desolation,” (Dan. 11:31). Nearly 200 years later Jesus told His followers to watch for second future “abomination of desolation” (Matt. 24:15), which was also prophesied in Dan. 9:27 & Dan. 12:11.
3. The flight of the “woman” during the Tribulation to her place of safety and provision (Rev. 12) is a repeat of the exodus from Egypt (compare Exod. 19:4; Micah 7:14-17; Rev. 12:14).
4. The plagues upon Pharaoh’s Egypt are repeated in the Tribulation on a much greater scale.
The first occurrence of these and other events sets a pattern for the second. If you want to understand how the end-times will play out, you MUST make the connections to the parallel events in biblical history, the first occurrence or prototype.
This is why the book of Revelation references prophecies about historical events which were fulfilled long ago when speaking about certain events of the Tribulation. A case in point is the two witnesses in Revelation 11 who are compared to Haggai and Zechariah, the two prophets who prophesied during the rebuilding of Solomon’s Temple after the exile. Both pairs of prophets are called the “two olive trees.” Zechariah’s fulfilled prophecy provides the pattern for the future fulfillment in the Tribulation (compare Zech. 4 & Rev. 11:1-4).
I suspect that Trump is being used to fill two completely different roles in the end times which repeat past major events, one for Israel and the other for Christ’s Church:
1. Trump is for ISRAEL at the end of the Roman exile what Cyrus the Great was for Israel at the end of the Babylonian exile – a God-appointed gentile deliverer (messiah), laying the groundwork for rebuilding the Temple. This will permit the national repentance required by Deut. 30:1-6 & Mal. 4:4-6 (cf. Rev. 11:1-4), after which God’s true “Messiah,” Jesus, “Son of David,” the “Son of God” who became “Son of Man,” will arrive in power and glory and then “they will look on Him whom they have pierced” (Zech. 12:10; John 19:37; Rev. 1:7).
2. Trump is to CHRISTIANITY what Constantine the Great was to early Christianity. This may lead to both great apostasy (merging many false prophets, false teachers, false doctrines, & an ‘un-Holy Spirit’) under a broad “Christian” banner (as the Roman Church) while at the same time purifying the faithful remnant due to persecution from the rising church-state system (the new “Christian Nationalism”). For us, Trump’s policies will lead to a time of testing as to whether we will fall in line for the sake of maintaining our current comfortable lifestyles or remain steadfast in obedience to Christ’s commands (and suffering loss for it). I have already witnessed Christians compromising obedience to Christ’s commands because of their politics.

Thanks for sharing this, Tim. I genuinely appreciate when you take the time to share your thoughts on topics like this. I completely agree with your point about Trump potentially helping lay the groundwork for the rebuilding of the Temple. He has always identified himself as a builder, and it’s easy to imagine him wanting to be connected to a project with that level of historical and symbolic significance.
I also think he’s playing a role in disrupting the existing geopolitical order, which could create conditions for major shifts in global power structures. Europe has increasingly been talking about the need to become less dependent on the U.S. for military support, and with the growing instability and complications around the world, it does feel like we may be moving toward a significant realignment on the global stage.

Yes, and that realignment will bring about the rise of the 10 Kings from the old Roman Empire, IMO.
