Trump’s “Triumphal Arch”
In February I posted an article called “Is this just a coincidence?” It concerned President Trump’s proposed “Independence Arch” in Washington DC which he first announced during the Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot) in 2025, and whether this might have some kind of prophetic implications regarding the fulfillment of Revelation 12.
On Friday, April 10th, the last day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, Trump posted an update on Truth Social. He announced that the construction plans have been finalized and submitted to the Commission of Fine Arts. Interestingly, he now refers to it as the “Triumphal Arch” instead of the “Independence Arch” which he previously called it. Trump seems to be anticipating this arch being a monument to his supposed victory over Iran and ridding the world of the cancer of Islamic radicalism. The text in large gold letters on the side facing the Lincoln Memorial states: “One Nation under God,” and on the side facing Arlington National Cemetery states “Liberty and Justice for All.”

Its looking more and more like Trump may fulfill the first Seal, the first horseman of the Apocalypse, a rider on a white horse carrying a bow who goes forth conquering as I suggested in a post on October 2025 titled, “Is this the 1st Horseman of the Apocalypse?” I think Trump views himself as a second Constantine the Great. His “Triumphal Arch” is seemingly patterned after Constantine’s arch in Rome.

Constantine’s arch commemorates his victory at the Battle of the Milvian Bridge in AD 312. Constantine claimed that he saw a vision of a cross in the sky, with the words, “With this sign you will conquer.” He then allegedly placed a cross on the shields of his army and had a decisive victory. This was his alleged conversion to Christianity, even though he delayed baptism until he was on his death bed. Constantine is famous for making Christianity legal throughout the Empire and thus ending the Roman persecutions of Christians. It is ironic that his arch is right next to the Colosseum where countless Christians were previously martyred by Rome. In AD 325, Constantine convened the Council of Nicaea which effectively made him the head of the church of Rome. Isn’t it interesting that Trump is currently having a spat with the pope. He sees the pope as weak and woke, and himself as the real defender of Christianity and Israel.

Good morning, Pastor Tim. I am seeking clarification on a few points.
Regarding the commencement of the final seven-year period (the 70th week), am I correct in understanding that two witnesses will be conducting their ministry, and that temple services and sacrifices will also be in effect?
Your suggestion that President Trump could represent the first horseman of the 1st seal(the conqueror), I am inferring that this scenario is projected for the future. This assumption is based on the current absence of the temple, sacrifices, and the two witnesses.
Therefore, is it plausible to consider that President Trump’s actions might initiate Daniel’s 70th week?
So we should be looking for the temple sacrifice atleast even if there is no temple built and certainly 2 witness should be present right if Trump is the 1st horseman.
To my knowledge there is no way to prove that the seals begin during the 70th week. The 6th seal is definitely the second coming which is after the tribulation (cf. Matt. 24:39-31 & Rev. 6:12-17). The fact that the 7th seal follows the second coming after the tribulation and refers to “silence in heaven” during the Kingdom, shows that the seals do not conclude with the end of the 70th week. Consequently, it is no stretch to suppose that the first of the Seals (horseman) may begin before the clearly marked period of 3.5 years for the 2 witnesses followed by the 3.5 years for Antichrist. My suggestion about Trump presupposes that the first seal(s) may begin before the 70th week. The 2 witnesses do indeed begin their testimony at the beginning of the 70th week, and the Temple worship described in Rev. 11 begins at that time.
Thank you Pastor Tim.
