ParticipantFriends,
Let me test an idea on you, in whom (i.e. you, not the idea) I have great confidence.Tim have said – and I agree – that the differences between “eternity” and the Millennial Kingdom are that God does not allow any evil whatsoever, only people with their resurrection bodies remain, and Satan is eliminated (as opposed to being incarcerated). So, in the Kingdom, the world is renewed, but still a “mixture” of righteousness an unrighteousness; however the latter is restricted by the righteous King that reigns from the New Jerusalem.
My new thought is that maybe good and evil are not mixed but geographically separated. Maybe the New Jerusalem (possibly the whole Promised land) is entirely good, while only the rest of the world is contaminated with evil. There are some Bible sequences I think signals this:
[Isa 60:2 NKJV] 2 For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people; But the LORD will arise over you [Zion], And His glory will be seen upon you.
[Isa 52:1 NKJV] 1 Awake, awake! Put on your strength, O Zion; Put on your beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city! For the uncircumcised and the unclean Shall no longer come to you.
[Rev 21:24, 27 NKJV] 24 And the nations of those who are saved shall walk in its [New Jerusalem’s] light, and the kings of the earth bring their glory and honor into it. … 27 But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.
[Mat 8:11-12 NKJV] 11 “And I say to you that many will come from east and west, and sit down with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven. 12 “But the sons of the kingdom will be cast out into outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”
Maybe [2Pe 3:13 NKJV] is opposed to this idea: “Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new/RENEWED heavens and a new/RENEWED earth in which righteousness dwells.”
What do you think?

ParticipantHi Anders,
Yes I think there can be a case made for separation of the two groups.
I have been asked about why we have the 1,000 year transition a number of times as many are confused about who will survive the tribulation period and they think everyone dies etc.
It is obviously difficult to visualise what it is going to be like.
Blessings Raymond
